Commissioned art
Sometimes the wall is an awkward size. Sometimes you know exactly what you want and have never seen it for sale. Three ways to get there — and we will tell you honestly which one your budget and timeline actually fit.
Three routes
01
You have seen someone's work and want something in that voice, at your size, for your wall. We introduce you, agree a brief and a price, and hold the money at milestones so neither side is exposed.
02
A reference image — including one you generated yourself — realised in oil or acrylic on real canvas by a working artist. What arrives is a genuine painting with brushwork and surface, not a print of an image.
03
Archival pigment printing on cotton rag or canvas, stretched or supplied rolled. The honest option when you want the image rather than the object, priced accordingly and labelled as a print everywhere it appears.
You can bring a generated image as a reference, and many people do — it is often the clearest way to show what is in your head. What we will not do is sell you a generated image while letting you believe a person made it.
If an artist paints from your reference, the painting is theirs and they are credited as its maker. If you order a print of a generated image, the listing says so in the same size type as everything else on the page.
Before any commission starts we confirm you have the right to use the reference — that it is your own generation, your own photograph, or licensed. It protects the artist as much as it protects you.
A sense of range
Dimensions, budget band, and when you need it by. We will come back with which route fits and roughly what it costs — before anyone asks you for anything.
