For artists
Somewhere to put the work.
Most art never gets seen — not because it is not good, but because the people who made it were never given an address. This is one. Open a gallery, set your own terms, and keep your name on everything you make.
Ten listings free · No card required · Commission only when you sell
Who this is for
You do not need a gallery to be an artist.
There is no shortlist and no invitation. If you make original work, you can list it.
Students and recent graduates
You have a body of work from your degree show and nowhere to put it. Start here — there is no gallery representation required, and no fee to list.
Artists working from home
A spare room, a balcony, a kitchen table at night. Where the work was made has never had anything to do with how good it is.
Studio and school teachers
You have taught for years and painted alongside it. Bring the work that never had time to be shown.
Established and exhibiting artists
Keep your gallery relationships. Use Art Sutra for the pieces you want to place directly, on terms you set.
What we promise
The four things artists ask us first.
01
You set the price
Fixed price or open to offers, your call — and you can move a piece between the two. We never discount your work without asking, and we never suggest you are worth less than you asked.
02
Your story travels with the work
Every listing carries your own words: what you were working through, why this piece exists, and the kind of person you hope will live with it. Collectors read it. It is often what decides them.
03
Ten listings free, always
No listing fee, no subscription to begin, no card required. We take a commission only when a piece sells — so we earn nothing until you do.
04
You keep the relationship
Buyers see your name, not ours. Follows, reviews and repeat collectors belong to your gallery and travel with you.
Getting set up
Five steps, one afternoon.
You can stop at any point and come back — nothing is lost.
- 01Sign in
Use Google, or an email address. Two minutes, no paperwork yet.
- 02Bring your work across
Upload directly, or connect Instagram, Pinterest or LinkedIn and choose which posts are artwork. We import the image at full resolution and you edit the details.
- 03Tell us about each piece
Medium, dimensions, year — and then the part that matters: the story. Take as much room as you need.
- 04Verification
A one-time identity check so collectors know who they are buying from. Higher-value work also gets a provenance review by our curator.
- 05Go live
Your gallery gets its own address. Share it anywhere — it is yours.
The atelier
A second opinion, whenever you want one.
Working alone is the hardest part of making anything. Art Sutra’s studio tools give you a considered read on a piece — composition, tonal balance, where the eye travels, how it might be framed and hung — while it is still on the easel, or before you decide what to ask for it.
Work in progress
Upload an unfinished piece and get direction, privately. Nothing is published.
Before you list
A read on presentation, sizing and which thread the work belongs to.
Never a score
No grades, no rankings, no public critique. Advice you can ignore.
Included on paid plans. Free galleries keep every other feature on this page.
The work is already made.
All that is left is letting someone find it.
